General questions
TransportHub is a single transportation platform that merges four services: a freight load board for carriers and brokers, a delivery quote marketplace where providers bid on your job, a same-day local delivery network, and drayage, LTL and FTL freight. You choose the platform that matches your shipment and get rated quotes in minutes.
Use the load board if you are a carrier or broker moving truckloads. Use the quote marketplace if you are moving furniture, a vehicle or a few pallets and want providers to compete on price. Use same-day delivery if you are a business delivering to local customers. Use freight and drayage for containers, LTL pallets and full truckloads.
Nothing. Posting a job or requesting a quote is free on every platform, and there is no obligation to accept. You only pay when you choose a provider and accept their price.
Most requests receive their first quote within 30 minutes, and 98% of marketplace listings receive at least three competing quotes. Same-day delivery orders are matched to a driver within minutes of being created.
Yes. Every provider is checked for operating authority where applicable, valid goods-in-transit or cargo insurance, and a safety record before they can quote. Insurance is re-verified regularly and lapses suspend the account automatically.
Payment is held in escrow when you accept a quote and is only released to the provider after you confirm the shipment arrived as described. If something goes wrong, funds stay held while our trust and safety team reviews the claim.
Canada and the United States for freight, drayage and same-day delivery, and the United Kingdom, European Union, United States and Canada for the delivery quote marketplace. Cross-border Canada–US freight is supported with customs documentation fields built in.
Yes. Every shipment on every platform has live tracking in your dashboard, status notifications by email or text, and photo proof of delivery where the service includes it.
Apply through the provider sign-up page. You will need your operating authority or business registration, a current certificate of insurance and vehicle details. Verification usually completes within two business days, after which you can start quoting.
Not on the load board, which is a flat monthly subscription with no per-load fee. The delivery marketplace and freight platform include the platform fee inside the quoted price, so the number you accept is the number you pay.
Freight Load Board
A freight load board is an online marketplace where shippers and brokers post loads that need moving and carriers post trucks that have capacity. Both sides search, compare and book directly. TransportHub adds verification, a lane rate benchmark and in-platform documents on top of the basic listing.
Plans start at $49 per month for a single owner-operator seat, $129 for a carrier fleet with up to ten seats, and $189 for broker accounts. There are no per-load fees and no commission on the freight you move. A 14-day free trial is available on every plan.
Before a company can post, we validate its operating authority number, confirm an active certificate of insurance with adequate cargo and liability limits, and check its safety rating. Records are re-checked monthly and any lapse suspends posting rights automatically.
Rate Index is a lane rate benchmark built from completed shipments booked through TransportHub over the last 90 days. It shows average, high and low linehaul rates by equipment type, plus the current load-to-truck ratio and fuel surcharge trend for that lane.
Yes. Cross-border postings include PARS and PAPS reference fields, bonded carrier flags, customs broker contact details and a preferred border crossing. You can filter searches to show only cross-border loads or only domestic freight.
No. TransportHub charges a flat monthly subscription and takes nothing from the freight rate. The rate you negotiate with the other party is the rate you settle at.
Delivery Quote Marketplace
Posting is completely free and you are under no obligation to accept any quote. You only pay when you choose a provider, and the price you see in the accepted quote is the price you pay. An optional featured listing costs $9 and typically doubles the number of quotes received.
Most listings receive their first quote within 30 minutes, and 98% receive at least three quotes. If quotes are slow, adding photos and rough dimensions usually helps, since providers can price with confidence rather than guessing.
Most providers quoting on your job are already driving that route and have spare space. Filling an otherwise empty leg is profitable for them at a much lower price, so quotes typically land up to 75% below standard published rates, with an average saving of 43%.
Yes. Every provider on the marketplace must hold valid goods-in-transit insurance, which we verify before they can quote. Cover levels are shown on each provider profile, and you can filter for higher cover on high-value items.
Report it within 48 hours of delivery through your account. Your payment is held in escrow until you confirm the item arrived as described, so funds are not released while a claim is open. Our trust and safety team reviews the evidence and coordinates with the provider's insurer.
No. Rough estimates are enough to get quotes, though accurate measurements and a couple of photos help providers price precisely and reduce the chance of a price change on the day.
Yes, many providers offer two-person handling, stair carries, assembly and packing. Mention it in your listing so quotes include the extra labour rather than being revised on the doorstep.
Yes. Tell your provider first, then contact support to arrange the refund of your deposit. Cancellations very close to the collection date may be subject to the provider's own terms, which are shown on their profile.
Same-Day Local Delivery
Deliveries can complete in as little as two hours from pickup. You choose the window per order: two-hour, four-hour, end-of-day, a scheduled slot, or local next-day when speed matters less than cost.
Up to 144 inches in the longest dimension and up to 300 pounds, delivered same day within a 100-mile radius. That covers mattresses, appliances, furniture, tyres, garden equipment and most building materials.
The network covers more than 30,000 ZIP and postal codes, reaching approximately 97% of US households, plus major Canadian metropolitan areas. Enter a ZIP code on the platform to confirm coverage for a specific address.
No. You can create deliveries from the web dashboard, upload a CSV, use our Shopify, WooCommerce or Magento apps, or connect through the REST API and most major TMS and OMS platforms. Most businesses start on the dashboard and integrate later.
Yes. All drivers pass identity and background checks. Pharmacy deliveries are handled by drivers with additional certification, and you can require signature capture, ID verification or age verification at the door on specific orders.
Every delivery is tracked live and photographed at the door. Exceptions escalate automatically to a live support team who contact the driver and the customer. Claims for damage or loss are filed in the dashboard and resolved against the delivery record.
Ship-from-store routes an online order to the nearest store that holds the item, then dispatches a local driver. The delivery is faster because it starts nearby, inventory turns across all locations rather than one warehouse, and you avoid long-haul freight on short-distance orders.
Drayage, LTL & FTL Freight
Drayage is the short-distance road move of a shipping container between a port or rail terminal and a nearby warehouse, distribution centre or another terminal. It is the first or last road leg of an intermodal journey, and it is where demurrage and detention costs are usually won or lost.
We cover the top 20 container ports in the continental United States, including the major gateways on the West Coast, Gulf and East Coast, plus their associated inland rail ramps.
We monitor vessel arrival and terminal availability data, pre-book terminal appointments automatically, and dispatch a chassis and driver as soon as the container is released — before free days expire. Street-turn matching also returns empties faster by pairing them with an inbound import.
A street turn pairs your outbound empty container directly with another shipper's inbound import instead of returning it to the terminal first. It removes an entire road leg, which cuts cost, reduces port congestion and lowers emissions on the move.
LTL, or less-than-truckload, shares trailer space with other shippers and suits shipments of roughly one to six pallets. FTL, or full truckload, dedicates a whole trailer to your freight, which is faster and handled less, and becomes more economical from about six to eight pallets upward.
Yes. White glove service covers room-of-choice placement, assembly, and removal of packaging for large consumer goods such as mattresses, appliances and furniture — so the final mile matches the brand experience your customer expects.
Yes. There is a documented REST API with a sandbox environment, webhooks for every status event, EDI 204, 214 and 210 support, and pre-built connectors for major TMS and ERP platforms. Sandbox credentials are available before you sign a contract.
